Yealmpton Pre-School
We offer a range of early learning options to suit all your childcare needs
A modern setting in a village atmosphere
Our setting in Yealmpton Community Centre provides a purpose-built classroom with modern facilities in pleasant surroundings. We have our own outdoor area with equipment and toys for the children. We also operate a busy Toddler Group every Tuesday morning during term-time within the same building.
Being adjacent to Yealmpton Primary School allows use to have excellent links with the school, which are useful both for the preschool children as they prepare for school and for the after-school care and holiday clubs we provide.
All 3 and 4 year olds are now entitled to five fully-funded sessions at preschool.
Funding starts in the term after your child turns 3. Additional sessions cost £8.23 each (as of September 2006).
Ofsted Approved
Our most recent OFSTED report in 2004 judged all aspects of the preschool as being ‘Very Good' which is the highest grading possible.
Parent Committee
Overseeing all this is a voluntary committee of parents which deals with all aspects of running a busy preschool, after-school club and holiday club including staffing and fundraising.
Yealmpton Preschool is a member of the Preschool Learning Alliance.
