About Us
We offer children a unique and fun type of learning with fantastic facilities.
We have a large hall which we section to include a large home corner which we often them to the topic of the half term. We also include a quiet corner with a wide range of books. The remainder of the hall is set aside for more structured learning including activities covering craft, graphics, sensory development, small world play, construction toys, games/jigsaws. We also offer basic IT skills with the use of pre-school computer games.
Our location means we are away from the mainstream traffic, making it safer for children coming and going, with parking just outside. It also allows us to visit the Byes for nature excursions and use the playground opposite. During the summer months we are able to use the sports field for various games and for our annual sports day.
Your child is allocated a key-worker to help them settle in and to monitor their progress and development. You are encouraged to help your child develop by contributing information into your child’s progress report book and are able to access their development files at any time. We aim to work together with parents to provide the best learning opportunities for each child. The most important thing is that the children are happy, as this is when they learn the most.
We have a dedicated team working to provide the children with a friendly environment in which to learn. We offer;
- Personal, social and emotional development
- Communication, Language and Literacy development
- Mathematical development
- Knowledge and Understanding of the World
- Physical development
- Creative development
The planning of each session is in keeping with the Curriculum Guidance for the Foundation Stage to help the children prepare for school. Staff are currently undergoing training ready to change over to the Early Years Foundation Stage in the next few months.

Events
Throughout the year we have various fund-raising events, which we encourage both parents and children to participate in.
There is an annual summer outing for all the children. At Christmas the children put on a festive performance for friends and relatives and we hold a Christmas children’s party. As part of our ongoing commitment to provide a fun and stimulating curriculum we plan visits from a variety of people to enrich your child’s learning, e.g. Jo Jingles music session.
