Why Pippins?

Pippins has been a well established pre-school for over 35 years and has recently gained a Quality Assurance Award. This is the national 'stamp of approval' through the Pre-School Learning Alliance's rigorous accreditation scheme that recognises the importance of linking early years learning with high quality care and the significance of involving parents.

The scheme has been endorsed by Investors in Children. Pippins is able to accept Early Years Education Funding which is available to all children in Devon from the term after they are 3 years old. Pippins is well known for it's friendly and caring atmosphere, making learning fun.

We aim to work in partnership with parents to help children to learn & develop in a safe & stimulating environment. We offer children, their families and the local community a service which promotes equality and values diversity . Pippins most recent OFSTED report was excellent.

“The environment is welcoming and child friendly and the space is well used inside and out to support care, learning and play. The staff are positive and encouraging, well qualified and show high levels of commitment” (Ofsted quote 2004)
