About us

We are a small, friendly, OFSTED registered pre-school and registered charity, providing top quality care for 3-5 year old children in Culmstock and the surrounding area. We aim to provide a stimulating play environment where children are free to learn and explore the world through planned and child led activities which allow them to develop according to their individual needs. Our liaison with Culmstock Primary School ensures that we properly prepare children for their transition to school. We are registered to take up to ten children per session so never have more than five children per adult, ensuring high quality care for each child.

We are open Monday to Friday during term time, opening at 09:15 and closing at 15:15 as follows:

09:15 to 11:15 - morning session
11:15 to 12:15 - Lunch Club
12:15 to 15:15 - afternoon session

Our fees (effective from April 2009): All children over the age of 3 are entitled to government funding for up to 12 1/2 hours of care from the term after the child turns 3.

Parents wishing to place their child with us from the age of 3, but in the term before their child qualifies for government funding, will be charged a 'toddler fee' of £2 per hour (booked in 2 1/2 hour session slots).

Parents wishing to take additional sessions above the funded 12 1/2 hours are charged £3.14 per hour for sessions (parents are currently required to book sessions in two and a half hour session slots) and £3.50 for the lunch club (to be revised in Sept 2009, parents provide a packed lunch).
