About us
Bratton Fleming Playgroup had been running for nearly 40 years having been established in 1972. The Playgroup was based in the Village Hall and a New Build Committee was formed to create a brand new purpose-built setting for the local community and after many years of planning and fundraising, building work commenced on site in August 2010. With the aid of funding from Devon County Council, North Devon Council, the local Parish Council and many local businesses, we have now been able to make the transition from the village hall to form a Community Interest Company and we are very proud of what has been accomplished.
Our new purpose-built setting, which has been named Fawn Lodge, is closely situated to the Primary School and we officially opened on the 28th February 2011.
We are registered with Ofsted, registration no. EY422560 and are also registered with the Devon Early Development & Childcare Partnership.
Pre-School Aims
Children are encouraged to develop at their own pace with lots of support - they will be encouraged to extend their vocabulary and speech fluency by listening through songs and nursery rhymes and to develop their writing skills freely to recognise their own names.
Our new Pre-School setting will enable your child to have access to a large selection of equipment to encourage group and role play and supported by qualified staff they will be able to learn how to express themselves, share and co-operate with other children and adults.
The larger play space and outside play area will help children develop physical control, mobility, awareness of space and we are able to utilise this with our free-flow between spaces.

Opening times
We are open 5 days a week, all year round, except Bank Holidays.
Children aged 3-5 years are entitled to 15 hours funding from the term after their 3rd birthday

Holiday workshops
We offer holiday workshops for children between the ages of 2 1/2 - 11 years during non-term time and we would be more than happy to discuss this in more detail with you.
